In our past lives, we cut our teeth, building over 1,000,000 headsets for the big trucker headset brands. The Kinnect Edge is the first headset we put our name on. We’ve taken everything we learned about the telecom needs of all remote workers and built it into the Kinnect Edge – everything that matters, nothing that doesn’t. 2005
humble beginnings.
In 2005 we were approached by another American headset company that sold wired headsets for office workers and telemarketers to build their first Bluetooth headset for Truckers. We started by talking to hundreds of truck drivers, asking what they wanted in a wireless headset. They needed a headset to work 12 hours on a single charge, the microphone had to block out the loud engine and road noise so the drivers could hear and be heard on every call. And the headset had to feel almost weightless on your head but also be as tough as the drivers, working every minute of every day and never taking a day off.
2006

Our first trucker headset was introduced in 2006 and was an instant success because we delivered what the trucker wanted and what they needed. Drivers could wear the headset when they checked the trucks tail with their cell phone still in the cab, while speaking with dispatch or a customer or even to tell their family they were on the way home! With each new model, we reduced the amount of road and engine background noise heard and introduced wideband features like audio for GPS and even music could be played through the headset as they drove.
